Eagles Fly For Homecoming

The bleachers were filled with BCS alumni who came back in to town Friday night to watch their alma mater take on Alvin Living Stones for the homecoming game.  The Eagles put on quite the show  scoring seven touchdowns in the first half.  For Preston Merritt, Ashton Cady, Elijah Yang, and Hunter Hutchins it was the first time they had found the endzone. "It was a great night for these boys" said Martin "we were able to execute some of the new stuff we were working on, and then get a lot of guys reps at different positions. We are going to need guys to step up, very soon, and play a few different positions. They did that tonight, and did it well."

When the halftime horn sounded the score board read 53-0 and the game was over. The homecoming festivities then took place at mid field where Seniors Samantha Barnhart and Ethan Cook were crowned 2016 Homecoming Queen and King.

The win put the Eagles at 5-2 on the year and 1-0 in district. They travel to Conroe on Friday to take on Conroe Covenant Christian, a game where the winner will likely be rewarded with a bye through the first round of the playoffs. Come out and support your Eagles Football Team at 7:00 pm at Conroe Covenant Christian school in what is shaping up to be the biggest game of the year!
