Shorthanded Eagles Show Up Big

The BCS Eagles played host to district opponent Orange Community Christian on Friday night.  The Eagles had seven players unavailable for the contest leaving only 10 eligible players.

"We have been telling the boys all year that they need to be prepared when we call their number. Tonight we had big performances from a lot of our kids" said Coach Danny Martin.

Freshman quarterback Juan Solis had another productive night accounting for seven of the eight BCS touchdowns (5 passing and 2 rushing). The eighth BCS touchdown came from Junior Elijah Yang on a 45 yard kick return.

The first half ended with a 27-27 tie. The Eagles came out of the half with a fire that was not seen early on, outscoring Orange Community 30-20 to complete their 6th win of the season. "It was a good win for this program. We have 17 boys on this team and they all work extremely hard. Tonight was a night where we needed every single one of them, and they showed up in a big way." - Martin
